Ocean eyes

you stood there across the room

your face a different shade of blue

your cheeks were rosy pink

those lips were soft and sweet

and you danced to the song

as you did this I sang along

your eyes gleamed at mine as I swayed my hips with the tide

the ocean was in your eyes, those deep blue eyes

i could almost see through you completely

those ocean eyes

full of lies

fuck your smile

i’m leaving for a while

all those things I never knew

you played me as a god damn fool

10 years later I visit the ocean

the waves crash on the shore with full emotion

my feet rest upon the sand dunes

headphones in my ears as I listen to the tunes

the world pauses for a minute

goes completely mute

but those ocean eyes

the ones filled with awful lies

remind me of the tide that is coming up on my white thighs

the ocean will never be the same

it will always remind me of your name

but I still visit it every now and then

because I kind of miss how we used to be way back when
